Here at the Animal Shelter and Care of Jefferson County, our Adoption process involves phone and in-person conversations with an Animal Care Coordinator about your experience, expectations, and desired companion animal.

ADOPTION FEES
Dogs over 25 pounds and over 6 months – $125
Dogs under 25 pounds and younger than 6 months – $150
Dogs over 7 years – $75
Cats older than 6 months – $75
Cats over 7 years – $35
Kittens under 6 months – $125
Working Cats – $25
All animals: Are spayed or neutered, have received age-appropriate core vaccines, been de-wormed, received a medical exam and are microchipped.
