Joining our growing team of amazing volunteers who help to socialize animals, clean kennels, assist in clinics, fundraising, work with the public helping with events, photograph animals, and so much more!
We are excited the shelter is able to do a soft opening to start caring for the county stray and abandoned dogs. Since this is Jefferson Countys first and only brick and mortar shelter, we are starting at ground zero and at first, we are uncertain of set days animal care volunteers are needed.

For over five years our lost & found efforts reuniting pets with their owners, has been proven a huge success having a 98% successful rate annually through our Foster Care Program network. Most of those lost and found animals were reunited with owners within the first 24 hours.

Thank you so much for all of your help and loving animal care, the cats & dogs thank you too!
We ask for our volunteers to please submit form below for volunteered hours and days you can volunteer to help us schedule our volunteers for shelter work. We have multiple types of shifts to allow you more flexibility to help the animals!
