The Animal shelter and Care of Jefferson County (AS&C) (EIN: 41-2270187)
The AS&C’s major goal is to be the first place people turn to when they need help with their pets. To meet that goal, we offer a variety of services to benefit all of the animals in the Jefferson County community, not just those in the shelter.

Since Jefferson County does not have animal control services, the AS&C has been first responders rescuing and providing shelter for the lost and abandoned animals in Jefferson County, MT. (primarily Cats and dogs).
Our new shelter is the first and only brick & mortar Animal Shelter in the Jefferson County.
They say, “if you build it, they will come.”
Within hours of opening the doors to the new AS&C Shelter, they started receiving lost, abandoned, surrendered dogs, orphaned kitten litter’s and some of their momma’s which rapidly filled the shelter to capacity.
