Thank you for choosing to adopt a cat. We are so excited to help find you a forever family member. When looking for a cat we encourage you to ask lots of questions, meet lots of cats, and have fun during the process!

Applications that are incomplete or have incorrect contact information will not be processed.

  • Before any adoption is to take place an application needs to be submitted.
  • All applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • All applications received will be processed with the best interests of the dog or cat in mind, to ensure a successful adoption for the animal and your family.
  • After your application has been received, it will be sent to our committee for processing and background check.  
  • We recommend that all household members meet the animal during the adoption process. In some cases, we will make this a requirement.
  • After the AS&C of Jefferson County has processed all adoption applicants a decision will be made.
  • Completing an application does NOT guarantee adoption.
