By utilizing our Foster Care Program, the AS&C helps many lost, found and abandoned animals through our Jefferson County Lost & Found network. If after searching relentlessly and the owner is not found, the AS&C finds new homes for them.
Once it is established the owner can not been found or animal was abandoned the AS&C begins the adoption process by vaccinating, spay or neutering and microchipping the animal before it is adopted out.
