It’s every pet parent’s nightmare: Your dog or cat has gotten loose and you don’t know where he or she is. Don’t panic—there are steps you can take to locate your pet. Swift action, coupled with major neighborhood networking, will increase the odds of having your furry friend back in your arms. The key is to get the word out to as many people in as many places as possible, so don’t be shy about enlisting the help of your friends and family in the search efforts.
If you have lost an animal, please follow these steps:
- Please call us and leave a short message to report a lost pet and your contact information at (406)225-4334.
- Email us at ascjeffco@gmail.com with details and attach photos so we can post on our lost & found Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Jefferson-County-MT-Lost-Found-Pets-102678334849247
- Submit a lost pet report below
- Use Social Media by posting a photo of your lost pet onto area lost pet pages, community wide sites.
- Post pictures of your pet at convenience stores and in grocery stores near the location where your animal was lost. Check with us twice a week if your pet is still missing. We keep lost pets on our active list for 3 months or longer if requested.
- And remember, you can always contact us for further assistance.
- Please notify us when your pet is found.
